Faculty And Instructors | Rutgers University

Welcome to Winter Session!

The Office Summer & Winter Sessions is committed to providing distinguished education opportunities to our Rutgers students, visiting students, and members of the community. If it were not for your participation, our students would not be able to advance their education during the summer and winter session.

We hope to provide all instructors with the tools necessary to have a successful teaching experience this winter. Please refer to this page as a resource as you gear up for your winter class!

We will also be using Blackboard to promote important announcements, as well as expand on information regarding pay cycles, direct deposit, electronic grading, and dates and deadlines. Once your winter appointment is confirmed you will be added to the Winter/Summer Instructor Resources Blackboard organization. To view this forum, login to Blackboard with your NetID and password. In the My Organizations Plus section, click on Winter/Summer Instructors.

In another effort to streamline communications, our office periodically sends out newsletters and other emails containing important information. To stay up to date, join our newsletter email list at the bottom of the page.

RU ID Cards

In March 2018, the University implemented a new process to drastically improve security, functionality, and support for RU ID cards. The RU ID card design has been updated to reflect the Rutgers University's brand and visual identity and to deliver enhanced security features. Once your winter appointment has been confirmed and you have activated your NetID and Rutgers email, you will have the opportunity to submit a photo online. Cards will be printed and made available for pick-up at the Photo ID booth on the 3rd Floor of Blumenthal Hall. The new RU ID card design and photo submission process will be replacing the RUID Connection Card, however, old cards are still valid and will continue to support all University-related services.

Parking Permits

To purchase a parking permit, please visit the Office of Commuter Transit & Parking Services, Blumenthal Hall - Room 105. The vehicle's DMV registration, a parking application form (to be completed by the academic department you are teaching for) and your RU ID card is required. Please be prepared to make payment.
